FMH 550: Grant Writing

In a time of funding insecurity for many not-for-profit organizations and local social service and juvenile justice entitites, it is essential for program staff to learn how to synthesize a meaningful proposal to private foundations, corporations, and public funders at the local, state and federal level. Students will learn and enhance their skills on writing mission statements, letters of intent, project descriptions, goals, objectives, measureable outcomes, ouptut statements, and performance measures. This course will also focus on work plans, evaluative methods, and budget  development and budget narratives, which will be developed as part of a complete proposal.
